Lake Manyara National Park

Nestled between the Great Rift Valley escarpment and the alkaline waters of Lake Manyara, this compact national park offers a microcosm of Tanzania’s diverse ecosystems. Its lush groundwater forest is home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys, while the open savannahs support large herds of buffalo and giraffes. One of the park’s highlights is its tree-climbing lions, a behavior unique to this region.
