Itinerary
You will be picked from the airport and driven to Serengeti, which is about 335km (208 miles) from Arusha, stretching north to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the west. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch before going for an afternoon game drive. . Late in the afternoon drive to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast with packed lunch, you will go for a full day game drive. You will spot various animals, more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the wildebeest migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game viewing in Africa, great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala, Grant’s gazelle, leopards, cheetahs.
There are also 500-plus bird species, ranging from the out-sized ostrich and bizarre secretary bird of the open grassland, to the black eagles that soar effortlessly above the Lobo Hills. Late in the afternoon drive to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Early in the morning after a cup of hot coffee proceed for the early game drive, this morning game drive is very important as you will be able to witness the early morning kills from the big five. After check out at the Lodge or camp, we will proceed for the last game drive as you head back to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha late afternoon with a drop off to the Hotel of your choice or back to the airport depending with your flight time.
